OHS PTA

The PTA contributes countless volunteer hours and financial support to many programs, clubs, and activities directly benefiting OHS students, including:

• Contributing volunteers and resources to many of the over 25 student clubs and activities that OHS has to offer, such as Robotics, Culture and Language Clubs, and the National Honor Society. 
• Service Scholarship Awards - This award is given to two seniors every year. Over the years, our students have completed thousands of hours of service!  
• Faculty Scholarships for Professional Development - Each year, teachers in all areas of the Orange High School apply for scholarships relating to all areas of professional development to enhance and support their teaching goals. 
• Educational Grants –  Each year, the PTA provides various educational grants. In years past, the Orange High School PTA has provided standing desks for the English Department, the creation of a new Writing Center, and helping start up Witty Wednesdays.
• Teacher Appreciation and Holiday Luncheon -With generous help from the community, the PTA was able to treat all the staff & teachers with gift cards and support local businesses at the same time. 
• Convocation breakfast for district teachers and staff.
• End of year luncheon for district teachers and staff.
• After Prom -  One of our biggest events! In previous years, the PTA has supported students’ safe and fun entertainment at local event spaces such as Fun n’ Stuff, Play Arcade, Whirlyball, and Rollhouse in Solon. 
• The PTA continued to provide health and wellness programming throughout the year for students and the community. Over the years, we’ve helped bring awareness to mental, social, and emotional issues facing our students, while providing endless resources to parents. 
   

COMMUNITY SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES FOR STUDENTS:

The Orange Schools strongly encourage its students, faculty, staff, and their families to volunteer in the community. The OHS PTA supports the OHS Guidance Office by creating and maintaining the information on the District website regarding Community Service Opportunities for Students.
