With a strong foundation in business and information science, Angela brings a unique blend of analytical thinking and practical experience to educational leadership. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Social Science with honors from the University of Michigan, complemented by a Master of Science in Information from the same institution. Her professional expertise spans marketing, sales, consulting, business development, and information science.
As both a parent and business owner, she maintains deep roots in the Orange City Schools community. Her children graduated in the class of 2022 and will graduate in the class of 2026, giving her firsthand experience with the district's programs across multiple years. Additionally, she owns PlayMatters Toys, demonstrating their commitment to supporting child development and play-based learning in the broader community. She resides in Moreland Hills.
Her inspiration to serve on the Board of Education stems from witnessing the passion and dedication of Orange Schools’ families, residents, and businesses. This "small but mighty" community spirit drives her commitment to strengthening the district's existing strengths while ensuring every student reaches their full potential.
As a board member, her primary focus centers on delivering excellence across all areas of student experience—academics, athletics, and arts. She embraces both the challenges and rewards that come with pursuing educational excellence, understanding that comprehensive student development requires attention to diverse talents and interests.
Outside of board responsibilities, Angela enjoys staying active through exercise, expanding knowledge through reading, cultivating her garden, and pursuing intellectual interests she describes as "nerdy stuff"—reflecting a lifelong love of learning that aligns well with her educational advocacy.
