A total of 55 Orange High School students were recently inducted into the prestigious National Honor Society on September 2, 2026. The ceremony was hosted by NHS President Elliott Wright, who led the new inductees in the reciting of the NHS Pledge, along with Co-Vice Presidents Cydney Feinberg and Anuja Patel, Secretary Cooper Kardamis, and Treasurer Max Klisovic, who lit candles representing the various NHS pillars.

Advisor Mrs. Kelley Mendoza, with assistance from Mrs. Carla Nazelli, showcased some of the many service projects the NHS students are involved in throughout the year. Each student inductee is required to maintain at least a 3.75 GPA and must adhere to the tenets of scholarship, service, leadership, and character. The inducted students completed more than 3000 collective hours of community service.

OHS Principal Jamie Hogue spoke, and student pianist, junior Zeynep Berber, provided lovely music for the processional. Four members of the OHS Choir including Soprano Adeline Moran, Alto Danielle Sperber, Tenor Siddharth Sah, and Bass Jaidan Shauf-Dressman, performed a beautiful a cappella rendition of the National Anthem. All of the students and their guests were invited to a light reception in the Commons following the morning event.
