Orange High School seniors Seamus Buelow and Jonah Wilson have been named Semifinalists in the annual National Merit Scholarship Program. Buelow and Wilson are among approximately 16,000 students nationwide selected for this prestigious honor, placing them in the top one percent of high school seniors across the country. They entered the 2027 National Merit Scholarship Program as juniors by taking the 2025 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT®), which served as an initial screen of program entrants. As Semifinalists, they have the opportunity to compete for National Merit Scholarships that will be offered next spring.
