Posted Date: 10/21/2024

Orange High School senior Camryn Katz was recently named the Kiwanis Club of Lander Circle Senior Of The Month for October 2024. Every school year, the Kiwanis Club of Lander Circle recognizes six OHS seniors for their leadership, integrity, and academic achievements.

Katz thrives in giving back to the various communities she serves. In her theater community, she has served as student producer and student choreographer for Stagecrafters, overseeing 200 students and collaborating with directors. She has also been a Stagecrafters teacher for two years. As a mentor, she works with both Orange Community Education and Recreation (OCER) and the Orange Inclusive Preschool, assisting children with special needs and their typical peers. Through Book Buddies, she assists preschoolers in literacy-related programs. Katz has volunteered her time as a volleyball clinic assistant with OCER and worked as a child care specialist for three years. She was selected for the National Honor Society and is a member of the OHS Key Club and Student Government. She was named the inaugural Joe Davis Kiwanis Club Student Liaison this past spring and continues to work with the organization in all of its events.
