Highlighting  Ohio's 4 year Public Universities

October 4, 2023

During the month of October Brady is celebrating College Awareness. You have probably seen college pennants hanging outside of your teachers’ classrooms representing  one of the schools they graduated from.

Fun Fact:  Ohio is rich in options for higher education, with 14 four-year public universities with 24 branch campuses, 23 two-year community and technical colleges and more than 50 four-year private colleges and universities.

It is not too early to start thinking about your post high school options. Keep an eye out for more college and career readiness opportunities this month!

September 21, 2023

It's World Gratitude Day! What are you grateful for? How will you show it?

September 1, 2023

September is National Courtesy Month:

Courtesy can mean several different things.  To some, being courteous means being polite and having good manners.  To others, it means being helpful, kind and considerate. Courtesy can be words spoken or actions towards someone.  One thing we know for sure is that treating each other well  and being considerate of one another is going to make positive impact on every single member of our Brady community!

This Friday, September 1 is National College Colors Day. You can show your team spirit by wearing college colors from your favorite college team or by wearing team colors that represent a college or university that a family member or friend attended!

College colors are symbols of fun, joy, rivalry, history, and traditions. Many college teams have worn their colors for over 100 years, and there is something incredibly remarkable about that.  We hope to see a lot of Colleges represented throughout the halls of Brady!

If you notice your feelings of stress or anxiety becoming intense, try controlled breathing.  When we are feeling stress, we may notice a change in our breath's rate and pattern. This is part of the" fight or flight response."  Controlled breathing can help to  send a message to a part of our nervous system and our brain that even though things may feel overwhelming , we are not in danger.

To help yourself get into the routine and comfort of utilizing this tool, practice  when you are feeling calm.  That way when your  feelings elevate you are ready!

If you are feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or stressed, and need someone to talk to please come to see us so we can help!

WEB is our 8th grade leadership team.

August 24, 2022

At the heart of the WEB program are our WEB Leaders.

The success of our program is based on  a strong, collaborative, caring group of students who will step up to not only support BMS 6th graders, but also act as mentors and take the lead in creating a positive school climate. WEB Leaders step up and become a substantial presence within school acting as models of positive behavior which is ultimately a catalyst for climate change within school.

Our WEB Leaders have been hard at work already this year.  They spent the first half day of school attending leadership training. They will visit their 6th grade Prides to host activities throughout August. The WEB Leadership team  advisors are Mrs. Massey and Mrs. DiBenedetto.
