Nine Orange High School seniors were recently named 2024 National Merit Scholarship Commended Students. They are (left to right) Isabella Wilson, Chimaobi Udeh, Elise Kemp, Nicolas Bustamante, Chloe "Lex" Stearns, Arbyn "Nash" Cook, Rhenna Rotman, Nikhil Unwala, and Stella Glesius.

They will each receive a Letter of Commendation from the National Merit Scholarship Corporation which conducts the program each year. They are among only 34,000 students throughout the nation who are being recognized for exceptional academic promise, having placed among the top 50,000 scorers of more than 1.5 million students who entered the 2024 competition by taking the PSAT.

They join fellow OHS seniors Branden Wang, Bill Wang, and Ben Wei who are among the top 1% of high school seniors in the country recognized earlier this month as National Merit Scholarship Semifinalists.
