Congratulations Anjali Chepyala, Named Kiwanis October Student of the Month

Congratulations to OHS senior Anjali Chepyala who has been named the Kiwanis “Senior of the Month” for October 2023. Anjali was recently selected as a National Merit Semifinalist and is a Research Scholar at Case Western Reserve University. A two-year member and current Treasurer of the award-winning OHS Robotics Club, Anjali has also received National Hispanic Recognition, is an AP Scholar with Distinction, a member of the National Honor Society, and is on the Highest Honor Roll. The four-year member of the Advanced Chamber String Ensemble, Anjali enjoys preparing orchestral pieces for the Senior Center, Commencement, Convocation, and awards ceremonies. Anjali has also participated in Piano Concert Fundraisers for American Foundation for the Blind and Nursing Homes. She has received the Global Seal of Biliteracy in Spanish and enjoys using her skillsets to volunteer throughout the community including assisting the Kiwanis Club of Lander Circle at its annual Rummage Sale and serving as a Peer Mentor. Most recently, Anjali was selected as the OHS Homecoming Queen by her classmates. Every school year, the Kiwanis Club of Lander Circle recognizes six seniors for their leadership, integrity, and academic achievements.
