Welcome Dr. Katie Fallo, New Director of Student Services

Graphic with photo of New Director of Student Services Dr. Katie FalloThe Orange Schools Board of Education unanimously approved the selection of Dr. Katie Fallo as the new Director of Student Services at a special session on June 15, 2023. Dr. Fallo was selected by Superintendent Dr. Lynn Campbell after an extensive search and interview process. Her two-year contract begins August 1, 2023.

Dr. Fallo joins the Orange City School District from the Youngstown area where she most recently served as Director of Student Services at Boardman Local Schools. Prior to her four years there, she served as Supervisor of Special Education at Warren City Schools for seven years. Throughout her 19 years in education, Dr. Fallo has also served as a building special education supervisor, an intervention specialist, and an educational assistant.

She received her Certification in Behavior Analysis from the University of Cincinnati where she also received her Bachelor of Science in Communication Studies. Dr. Fallo holds an Ed.D in Educational Leadership and a Masters in Special Education from Youngstown State University, as well as an Ed.S in Educational Administration from Kent State University.

Dr. Fallo is passionate about providing inclusion, equity, and a Free and Appropriate Public Education (FAPE) to all students with disabilities while actively supporting the amazing staff members working with them. She resides in Niles with her husband, two sons, and yellow lab. She enjoys attending her children’s activities, watching college football, and is “learning to become a better cook!” she noted. “I am excited to ‘Learn, Lead, and Make a Difference’ alongside the students, staff, and families of the Orange City Schools.”

Dr. Fallo will replace current Director of Student Services Mrs. Karen Moore who is retiring at the end of July after nine years at the Orange Schools.
