Welcome Mr. Hogue (OHS Principal) and Mr. Brooks (MHS Asst Principal)

Hogue and Brooks welcome graphicThe Orange Schools Board of Education unanimously approved the selections of Mr. Jamie Hogue as the new principal of Orange High School and Mr. Lyndon Brooks as a new assistant principal of Moreland Hills School at its May 23, 2023 regular meeting. Both educators were selected by Superintendent Dr. Lynn Campbell after an extensive search and interview process involving multiple stakeholders. Both their contracts begin August 1, 2023, and go through July 31, 2025.

Hogue joins the Orange City School District after serving as the Principal of Independence High School since 2020. He previously served as the principal (2014-2020) and assistant principal of Streetsboro High School. He began his career in education as an English teacher at Garfield Heights High School and then taught at Twinsburg High School where he also coached varsity girls tennis, varsity wrestling and middle school football.

Brooks joins the Orange City School District after serving as the Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at Saint Ignatius High School since last year.  He previously served as an assistant principal (2018-2022) for the Cleveland Metropolitan School District. He also taught for 12 years including five years as a teacher for the Shaker Heights City School District. He also served as a Minority Achievement Committee Facilitator, co-chair of the Strategic Initiative Committee, and  Head Coach of Freshman Basketball.

Their educational experiences and knowledge have prepared them well for these positions. We look forward to their leadership as they connect with students, staff and families to carry on Orange Schools’ rich tradition of educational excellence.”

Hogue resides in Walton Hills, Ohio with his wife Jennifer, and their children. He earned his master’s degree in Education from Kent State University and his bachelor’s degree in English Language and Literature/Letters from John Carroll University. He received his Administrative License from Ashland University. He is preceded by Mrs. Katie Phillips who resigned earlier this year. 

Brooks resides in Shaker Heights Ohio. He earned his master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from Grand Canyon University and his bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and Teaching from Arizona State University. He replaces interim assistant principal Denny Thompson and will join Mr. Steve Hardaway and Mrs. Stacy Lauro at MHS.
