Posted Date: 02/01/2023

MHS Admin Team photosWe would like to offer best wishes to Mrs. Renee Tuttle who is officially retired as Moreland Hills School Principal and good luck to Mr. Steve Hardaway who begins today as the school’s new principal. We also want to welcome Mr. Denny Thompson, interim assistant principal. Denny will join Mrs. Stacy Lauro, MHS assistant principal in her first year at MHS and 20th year in education overall.

Mr. Hardaway is excited about this opportunity. He was in his third year serving as an MHS Assistant Principal, and he brings a wide variety of elementary and secondary educator experience with him. Prior to MHS, he served for five years as an assistant principal at Orange High School.

Mrs. Tuttle was in her 10th year as principal of MHS and had a successful career of almost 35 years in education. She has agreed to consult with the District in the spring to help close out the year, so you will still see her smiling face around MHS.

Mr. Thompson joins MHS as an Interim Assistant Principal following Mr. Hardaway’s promotion to principal. He is a professional educator/facilitator who served in various capacities at the K-12 district level in Cincinnati, including teacher, coach, athletic director, grant writer, counselor, and elementary principal. During the 2021-2022 School Year, he held an interim elementary position at Buckeye Valley Schools and earlier this school year he served as an interim assistant principal in the Reynoldsburg City Schools from September through December 2022.

We will post the MHS assistant principal position in the spring to seek the permanent replacement for Mr. Thompson.
