Treasurer Elected to OASBO Board

Posted Date: 06/03/2022

Orange City School District Treasurer Mr. Todd Puster was recently elected to serve in multiple leadership roles in the Ohio Association of School Business Officials (OASBO) for the next four years, including President for the 2024-25 school year. With gratitude to the Superintendent, the School Board, and the community, Puster begins his official leadership track in July 2022 in the role of OASBO Vice President.

Puster became Treasurer at the Orange Schools in August 2015. Since that time, the Orange School District has maintained the highest rating from both Moody's and S&P top credit rating agencies, and received the Certificate of Achievement in Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association and the Certificate of Excellence for Financial Reporting from the Association of School Business Officials International. Under his watch, the Orange Schools also received the Auditor of State Award with Distinction for the most recent financial reporting period.

OASBO is the largest membership organization for school business officials in Ohio. Its primary purpose is to serve the students of Ohio's public schools by supporting the school business officials who work directly with administrators and support faculty and staff. Having served in a number of professional leadership capacities in the organization during his long career, Puster is knowledgeable about the needs of its members. He is making it a goal to help school districts throughout Ohio find and develop the next generation of school business leaders, something essential to the successful operation of Ohio's public schools. He is the second Orange Schools treasurer to serve in OASBO leadership in this century and looks to have his leadership in this area serve as a pathway and inspiration to the Orange Schools students and community.
