Reminder: Text Messaging Opt-in

The Orange City School District shares news and information with parents and guardians in a myriad of ways. One of those options is through our existing texting platform. If you would like to receive text messages and have not opted-in yet, this is a reminder to please do so by following the instructions below.

SMS text messaging opt-in is available for parents and guardians

Only parents and guardians who have mobile phone numbers in our student information system will be able to opt-in. This includes any contact cell phone numbers shared by the families with the schools on the annual forms.

Parents or guardians must opt-in to receive text messages from the schools to their mobile phones

The process is simple and only takes a few seconds to complete. If you are not sure of your opt-in status, you can follow the same directions to receive a text confirmation.

Simply text the word "yes" to the number 68453
You will receive a confirmation message from SchoolMessenger letting you know you have successfully opted-in to SMS texting.

Although the District does not charge you for this service, it does not pay for text message charges that may be incurred by you for sending or receiving text messages. Check with your wireless carrier for possible charges. Message and data rates may apply.
