Campus Closure Extended to End of School Year; Remote Learning to Continue

Posted Date: 06/01/2022

Dear Orange Schools Families,

The health and safety of our students, families and staff are of the utmost importance. While the closure of our campus and the move to remote learning has been challenging, I am very impressed by how everyone is rising to the challenge.

As many of you are aware, Governor Mike DeWine announced this afternoon that the school building closures have been extended through the end of the school year. All activities, events, athletics, clubs, and field trips are cancelled and all campus facilities will remain closed until further notice.

We will continue to provide remote learning opportunities to your children through the end of the school year. Our teachers and administrators are dedicated to working with students and their families as we have over the past several weeks. Our student lunch program for those in need will continue.

As students in the Orange High School Class of 2020 complete their senior year, we will be sharing more information in the upcoming days and weeks regarding graduation and other end-of-year events.

Teachers and administrators in each school will continue to communicate with you and your child(ren) regarding their classwork. Please be sure to have your student check his/her email and Google Classrooms on a regular basis.

The District will continue to provide you information via our website, social media, email, phone calls and text messaging when appropriate. Please check the Extended Campus Closure Update on our website regularly.

We thank you for your patience, cooperation and flexibility as we continue on this unique journey. We are all in this together!

Sincerely,

Dr. Lynn Campbell
Superintendent
