You can't stop the beat as the Orange High School Thespians present the musical "Hairspray" on Friday, April 13th and Saturday, April 14th at 7pm in the Orange High School Auditorium!

Teenager Tracy Turnblad, portrayed by OHS senior Caila Schold, knows in her heart that she can be the next big star if she can take advantage of the opportunity offered on a locally-filmed television show. Her big heart, big dreams and open mind offer the audience insight into life in 1960s Baltimore, including teenage love, racial tension, and even big hair!

With unforgettable songs like "Good Morning, Baltimore," "Mama, I'm A Big Girl Now," and the ever-popular "You Can't Stop the Beat," the show "Hairspray" will leave you dancing in the aisles. Orange High School's production, directed by Jonathan Davidson with assistance from William Sanborn, musical direction by Dr. Paula Snyder, choreography by Malik Doss-Jones, pit orchestra direction by Jake Robinson, costumes by Wendy Erholm, and produced by Wendy Scott-Koeth, is once again a contender for the Playhouse Square Dazzle Awards.

Tickets for this contemporary classic can be purchased at the door for $10.
