The Orange City School District Communications team of Lou DeVincentis and Staci Adelman Vincent was recognized with multiple awards at the Ohio School Public Relations Association (OHSPRA) Annual Spring Conference The Orange City School District Communications team of Lou DeVincentis and Staci Adelman Vincent was recognized with multiple awards at the Ohio School Public Relations Association (OHSPRA) Annual Spring Conference in April, including the prestigious "2025 Best of the Best Award" in the Public Relations and Marketing Plans category for its "2024 Centennial Celebration" campaign.

This top honor recognizes the comprehensive approach the district took in commemorating its 100-year milestone. The celebration committee included Alumni, staff, students, parents, and community members both present and past. Events such as the PTA Family Fun Fest, Centennial Parade, Boosters Tailgate, Homecoming Game, Alumni Recognition, Friday Fireworks, Alumni Association "Welcome Home" program, building tours, and the Centennial 5K and Fun Run attracted thousands  of people to campus. Local first responders, community members, teachers, administrators, alumni, parents, parent groups, students, and support staff (maintenance, custodial, food services, transportation, central office, school offices, OCER) all played a role in this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to honor the district's rich history while engaging the entire community.

The communications team also earned several other distinguished honors. The "2024-2025 Orange City Schools Wall Calendar: Celebrating 100 Years of Excellence!" received the 2025 Mark of Distinction award in Special Purpose Publications. Vincent's "V-ictory Formation Illuminated" captured the 2025 Mark of Excellence award in Photography. The "2024 Quality Profile: Celebrating 100 Years of Excellence!" also received a 2025 Mark of Excellence award. Adding to these achievements, the "Orange City Schools Centennial Celebration 2024" video—created in collaboration with video storyteller Ryan Caswell—won the 2025 Mark of Excellence in the Video category.

The OHSPRA Board recognized DeVincentis at the Spring Conference for his contributions to the statewide organization. He is stepping down from the OHSPRA Board of Directors after serving for 11 years in multiple roles including Past-President, President, President-Elect, and various director positions.

The OHSPRA Board also recognized Vincent at the Spring Conference with a 2025 OHSPRA Power PRo Award (her fourth) for her collaborative development of the new OHSPRA Mentorship program, which pairs seasoned school communicators with those new to the profession to build professional and personal connections.

Special gratitude goes to everyone in the Orange Schools Community for sharing their amazing stories across the District's communication platforms. The community is encouraged to continue sharing their great Orange stories!
