Krish is perhaps most widely known in the District for his outstanding work with TEDx events, speaking at his first one at Kent State when he was in the sixth grade and then organizing two national events at Orange High School when he was in seventh grade and this past fall with assistance he secured from the Kiwanis Club of Lander Circle. Krish initiated the TEDx club at Orange High School and has served as president for the past six years. An AP Scholar with Distinction, Krish has taken 11 AP classes and received multiple 5s on the challenging exams.

His academic prowess is matched by his athletic strengths as the Captain of the Varsity Tennis Team and a member of the State Champion and the State Runner-Up teams. The former Mock Trial Vice President has also served as Co-Vice President of the Science Olympiad Club. Krish, who started “coding” at eight years old, has held numerous positions as a Web Developer and was the original founder of “TheNoviceTech.com.”

Krish’s service to the community has included such organizations as MedWish International, Cleveland Food Bank, and “Hope for Henry,” a nationwide nonprofit focused on child health care for which Krish serves as a Teen Board member. Krish will be majoring in Computer Science at Cornell University in the fall.

Every school year, the Kiwanis Club of Lander Circle recognizes six seniors for their leadership, integrity, and academic achievements. We thank the Kiwanis Club for its ongoing support and congratulate Krish Mehra as the February 2023 Kiwanis Student of the Month!
