Orange Welcomes New AD McGhee

The Orange City School District Board of Education approved the hiring of Annie McGhee as the District’s new Athletic Director at its June 8, 2026 regular meeting. McGhee brings more than two decades of leadership and coaching experience to the Orange Lions.
McGhee most recently served as the Assistant Principal at Brooklyn City School District since August 2025. Prior to that, she spent nearly a decade at nearby Independence Local School District from 2016 to 2025, serving a dual role as Athletic Director and Assistant Principal. Her administrative portfolio also includes roles in the Cleveland Metropolitan School District, where she was a Project Manager for the Academies of Cleveland and Principal of the Jane Addams Business Careers Center. Additionally, she has worked as an independent curriculum consultant.
She established her athletic administration career at Wesley Chapel High School in Pasco County, Florida, serving as Athletic Director and leading multiple varsity programs, including volleyball, soccer, track and field, and golf, to district championships and state tournament appearances. She is also a former Division I student-athlete as a standout letterwinner and team captain for the Women’s Soccer team at the University of South Florida.
McGhee holds three degrees from the University of South Florida, including a Bachelor of Arts in Physical Education (6-12), a Master of Education in Physical Education, and a Master of Education in Educational Leadership. She resides in Independence, Ohio.
