ohs class of 2025 on graduation day

The historic Connor Palace Theatre at Playhouse Square served as the distinguished venue for Orange High School's Class of 2025 Commencement Ceremony on Sunday, June 1, 2025. The prestigious venue hosted 145 graduating seniors and their families in a celebration of academic achievement and school tradition.

The ceremony featured musical performances by the OHS Chamber Orchestra and OHS Choir, adding elegance to the formal proceedings. Principal James Hogue welcomed attendees and celebrated the accomplishments of the Class of 2025.

Distinguished guest speaker Mary Lou Drnach Smullen LTC, US Army Retired, delivered the commencement address after being introduced by Class President Avery Goldman. The academic excellence of the graduating class was recognized through Salutatorian Brandon Gent and Valedictorian Branden Wang, with Wang addressing his fellow graduates.

A cherished school tradition continued as OHS Legacy graduates received orange-colored roses from Orange Alumni Association members Nancy Domiano and Joyce Brandt, with assistance from John Sangdahl. This symbolic gesture honors the multi-generational connections within the Orange High School community.

The formal ceremony began with the processional to "Pomp and Circumstance," followed by "The Star Spangled Banner" and the Orange Alma Mater. Staff members led the graduating seniors into the historic theater to begin the program.

The ceremony concluded with the Board of Education’s presentation of 145 diplomas, officially welcoming the Class of 2025 into the distinguished ranks of Orange High School alumni.
